Where Soap Lake's ancient mineral legacy meets the frontier of modern recovery science.

At Solstice BioSpa, the 60-minute Solstice Journey is not a menu of treatments — it is a single, intentional sequence. Seven courses, each chosen for a specific physiological effect, layered in an order that guides the body from measurement, to activation, to deep cellular recovery, to integration.

The result feels poetic. The reasoning underneath it is precise.

Here is what is happening in your body, course by course.

Before You Begin · The Smart Body Scan & Hydrogen Water

  1. Measurement first. Then hydration at the molecular level.

Every Solstice Journey begins with a smart body composition scan — a baseline reading of your weight, body water, muscle mass, and cellular balance. This isn't decoration. Recovery is most meaningful when it can be observed over time, and the scan gives you a personal reference point to return to after each visit.

You are then handed a chilled glass of high-concentration hydrogen water (4000+ ppb), produced by SPE/PEM electrolysis. Molecular hydrogen is the smallest molecule in the universe — small enough to cross cell membranes and even the blood-brain barrier — and it acts as a selective antioxidant, neutralizing the most damaging free radicals (hydroxyl radicals) without disrupting the helpful ones your body needs for normal signaling.

Drinking it before the journey primes your cells to receive everything that follows. Hydration, neutralization, readiness.

02· Ember Sauna

Heat as a recovery signal.

You step into the Ember Sauna with your cells already hydrated. Dry-heat sauna exposure is one of the most studied non-pharmacological recovery tools in modern wellness science. Sustained heat raises core body temperature, dilates peripheral blood vessels, and triggers the release of heat shock proteins — cellular caretakers that help repair and refold damaged proteins.

Regular sauna use is associated with improved cardiovascular function, reduced systemic inflammation, and a measurable parasympathetic (calming) response afterward. In the Ember Sauna, that heat is paired with red and near-infrared light, layering a second recovery mechanism on top of the first.

By the time you step out, your circulation is open, your muscles are pliable, and your body is in an active repair state.

03 · Herbal Tea Pause

The parasympathetic reset.

Between heat and water, we pause. A warm cup of carefully selected herbal tea — chosen to support hydration, gentle detoxification, and nervous system calm — gives the body a moment to integrate the sauna's effects.

This isn't filler. After heat exposure, the body needs a controlled cool-down window to consolidate the cardiovascular benefits and shift fully into parasympathetic ("rest and repair") mode. Warm herbal infusions support that transition through both temperature and plant compounds — adaptogens, polyphenols, and aromatic oils that gently signal calm to the vague nerve.

You sit. You breathe. You let the first wave land. - Buoyancy reduces gravitational load on joints by up to 90%. - Hydrostatic pressure assists in lymphatic drainage and reduces edema. - Thermal conductivity of water is 25 times greater than air, allowing for rapid core temperature modulation.

03 · Sacred Mineral Soak

The science of the water itself.

Soap Lake is one of the most mineral-rich bodies of water on earth, carrying an unusually high concentration of sodium bicarbonate, sulfates, carbonates, and trace ions. When the body is immersed, two things happen at once: the alkaline mineral profile gently softens the skin's acid mantle and supports the skin barrier, while warm hydrostatic pressure encourages venous return and lymphatic flow.

This is the same water that drew visitors to Soap Lake for over a century — and now, after the sauna has opened your circulation and the tea has settled your nervous system, your body is uniquely receptive to it. The minerals absorb more readily. The skin drinks more deeply.

Ancient water, met at exactly the right moment.

04 & #5 · The Crystal Chamber — 7-Stone Bed, PEMF, and 1,280 LED Canopy

This is the centerpiece. Three sciences, one station.

The Crystal Chamber is where the journey reaches its deepest physiological work. Three technologies layer together in one room.

Beneath you: the 7-Stone Crystal Mat with PEMF.You recline onto a bed built from seven healing stones — amethyst, jade, tourmaline, obsidian, and others — that emit far-infrared warmth and natural negative ions. Built into the mat is Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy, which delivers gentle, low-frequency electromagnetic pulses that help restore healthy cell membrane potential. Every cell in your body holds an electrical charge across its membrane; when that charge weakens through stress, age, or fatigue, cellular function slows. PEMF effectively "recharges" the cell, improves microcirculation, and supports the body's own repair signaling.

Above you: the 1,280-chip LED Canopy.A full-spectrum light canopy with 1,280 individual LED chips envelops you from above, delivering red (around 660 nm) and near-infrared (around 850 nm) wavelengths across the full body. These specific wavelengths penetrate skin and reach the mitochondria — the energy factories inside your cells. There, they interact with an enzyme called cytochrome c oxidase, increasing ATP production and reducing oxidative stress.

In practical terms: faster cellular repair, improved skin tone and collagen activity, reduced inflammation, and better recovery from physical strain. This is the same modality used by professional athletes and dermatology clinics — delivered here at a scale and density rarely found outside clinical settings.

Around you: stillness, sound, and breath. With far-infrared warming from below, electromagnetic recovery pulsing through the cells, and photobiomodulation feeding the mitochondria from above, the nervous system finally has permission to let go. Heart rate variability rises. Breath slows on its own. This is where the body does its actual repair work.

06 · Solstice Grove — Immersive Sound, breathing and meditation

The integration course.

After the Crystal Chamber, the body is in a profoundly receptive state. The Grove is where everything consolidates. Immersive sound — tuned frequencies, resonance, and natural acoustics — entrains brainwave activity toward alpha and theta states, the same patterns observed in deep meditation.

Breath naturally lengthens. The vagus nerve, the body's master parasympathetic pathway, becomes more active. This is the course most guests describe as the moment they "drop in." Physiologically, it is the moment the journey's cumulative effects fully integrate.

07 · Open Air & Crystal Café

A grounded return.

The final course is the exhale. Fresh air, lake views, and light, mineral-supportive refreshments complete the sequence. After 60 minutes of layered recovery inputs — hydration, heat, herbs, minerals, electromagnetic recovery, photo biomodulation, and sound — the Café gives the body a place to land.

A second glass of hydrogen water closes the loop on what the first one began. And a return visit to the smart scale, whenever you're ready, shows you what the journey moved.

Why Sequence Mattersdont

Each of the seven courses works on its own. Together, in this order, they do something more.

The scale and hydrogen water prepare the cells. The Sauna activates circulation and triggers cellular repair. The tea settles the nervous system. The Mineral Soak delivers Soap Lake's ancient minerals into a now-receptive body. The Crystal Chamber does the deep work — electromagnetic, photonic, and thermal recovery layered into one. The Grove integrates. The Café grounds.

This is the quiet thesis of Solstice BioSpa: ancient water, modern science, intentional sequence. The body has always known how to heal itself. The Solstice Journey is simply the seven doors that let it.

The 7-Course Solstice Journey is a 60-minute guided experience at Solstice BioSpa, inside Soap Lake Natural Spa & Resort. $75 per guest. High-concentration hydrogen water and a smart body composition scan are included with every journey. Reserve your journey.
